Consider what other buyers might be willing to pay. After all, you may not stay in the home long-term, and if you paid too much, other buyers may not be willing to give you what you need to get out of it when you sell it.

If you’re interested in buying a home, take some time to look at the data on other homes that have sold in the area. Look at similar properties to see what they have sold for in the recent past.
